Overlooking Pirates Bay, the Tasman National Park on the Tasman Peninsula, is one of Tasmania’s prime diving destinations. The area offers fabulous scenery with massive cliff formations towering up to 300 metres (1000 ft) above sea level. These cliffs continue underwater and combined with the rich invertebrate life of Tasmania’s temperate waters, provide spectacular diving for all levels of experience with visibility in the winter averaging 25+ metres.
Eaglehawk Dive Centre is an internationally awarded PADI 5 star facility offering fully self-contained diver’s lodge, heated training pool, dive shop, air and nitrox fills, photo and video services and a full range of equipment for hire and sale. A wet lab and studio for film crews and photographers are available, with the services of a marine biologist and professional PADI staff for local and remote locations.
